The Spurs logo has many elements that make it an excellent sports logo. The squared off corners link to aztec patterns, imagery and textures of the local native culture. The spur creating the "U" creates visual interest and provides the opportunity to emphasize the sharp edges of the object into the design. Although the logo might improve with the addition of at least one color hue, as it is the logo succeeds on a very high level across the board.
