As a child of the 90's, this logo reminds me of California Gangsta Rap videos on MTV. This logo makes good use of line along with italicized type to create the look of speed within the word mark, "Kings". The gray banner behind the word supports the regal tone along with the crown icon. This logo is particularly nostalgic to me based on my 90's pop culture preferences, but stands strong aside from that as an iconic sports logo as well.
